<<<<v2 CLI Countdown Begins. Today the version 3.0 winnt command line client was linked up on the download page. This makes it available for everyone who wants to download it. But there is also some other significance to the linkage. The linking also started the clock for the imminent death of the version 2.x command client, both the i386, and the i486 nonintel command line client. The "death" date is now set for 11/18/2000 for each of these clients. After Nov. 18, the Berkeley servers will stop accepting results from the old clients. Make sure you update your clients before then! For those of you who are wondering about the version 3.0 i486 nonintel CLI...well there will not be one. There will only be the i386 general winnt CLI. As of now, there is not death date for the version 2.x WIn/Mac GUI versions.>>>>

This is just a little passage from over at TLC's home page. I thought I'd remind everyone again that they need to be changing over all of their clients.🙂

Thanks Blade! I still have a few more to upgrade. They are the ones that are patched to work with setiq and reside on the server. Need to find out if the new version has been tested with the patch program. Anyone know?

Made the switch to 3.0 the other day and it seems just a bit slower then 2.7 on my 800 tbird. oh well, it could be worse i guess.🙂

I have CLi & GUI v3.0 working fine with SETIQ 78b 🙂

Thanks for the reminder blade 🙂 ,no word on when the v2.04 GUI client is to be killed off then?

I don't think they've said when the gui will be killed off. I think their going to wait a little longer on it. I guess they figure the hardcore group runs the text client so they'll give the more casual user more time to change over the gui.🙂
