Just a quick question about a warranty....

An OEM Seagate internal HDD only has 1 year warranty, correct? It is only the boxed ones which carry a 5 year?

So THIS one is only a 1 year warranty?

Your subject line made me think of a much more pressing issue than a HDD.

I could be completely wrong but I think I read in some other thread that all Seagates have a 5-year warranty.

If you buy it from Dell, Dell themselves will warranty it. They are realllllllllly good about parts they sell too. Contact them for the warranty information.
