which free email sites (netscape, hotmail etc) can you use with a third party mail application such as outlook, thunderbird, etc
 
Hotmail can no longer be used AFAIK, unless you have a paid account.
Not sure about GMail, that, IIRC, might be usable.
 
what is good about outlook? I never used it becuase i thought the regualr provider interfaces were so much simpler. However, I might swith over with gmail if you can convince me 🙂
 
Yes, gmail will work with Outlook, Thunderbird, or whatever you want. Yahoo and Hotmail will too if you are willing to pay for email. Not sure about any others.
