Always seems to be problems on this forum, so I want to post some good news.
For xmas I got myself a new
Athlon 64 x2 3800
Abit AN8 NF4
2 GiGs of Patriot Ram (4x512)
EVGA 6800GS
This machine is a beast. I used the Guru program to just bump it up to "normal" 2100 on the cpu and RAM bumped up just a bit, and I played WoW while burning x-mas cds the other day. With my last build (p4 2.54 with the 533 fsb, I had a hard time opening up IE while burning). I played two instances of WoW at the same time, I can alt-tab out of BF2 or WoW or anything application and not have to wait a year nor worry about hang ups. Its been very nice. Very happy with my machine.
I got a DOA power supply and had to work a little bit on trouble shooting that, but thanks for these forums, I figured it out very quickly and RMA'd it. Also want to give some praise to Newegg for getting everything here quickly. Thanks for providing the information you do, everyone is usually very helpful.
