first of, Sorry if this is in the wrong section :\

Hi all

Im looking at building a new PC for gaming by budget is around £700 max really, iv been looking about
and so far come up with this:

AMD FX6100 Black Edition, Hex Core 3.3, 12MB Cache = £92.61 (Overclocked to 4.4GHz)

Asus M5A99X Evo, AMD 990X USB3 and SATA6 Support = £81.99

8Gb 2x4Gb Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3, 1600Mhz = £33.12

GeForce GTX 580 1536MB GDDR5 = £310

500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200 = £58

530W be quiet! Pure Power L8 = £56

total = £631.72.

basicly thats my internals, i have dvd roms, operating system, case etc. what do you guys think?
Can this be improved e.g, processor, board etc Will this system stack up to upcoming games ...
I dont want to upgrade anytime soon after doing this build :) so any input and advice would be fantastic
Thanks peops.

Regards
Darren

No no no no.

Get a 2500k or even a new Ivy Bridge instead of that AMD stuff.

The GTX 560 Ti 448 is also a better deal than the GTX 580. Heck, a 7870 or 7850 is probably a better deal as well.

The PSU is weak. You might be able to use it but I wouldn't chance it personally.

Thanks for your reply so far, I only went AMD as thats what im used to, iv only ever gone AMD in the past but always open to change, so what about the

i5 2500K "Sandy Bridge" processor 3.3 Quadcore, 6mb Cache which ofter some reseach can go to 4.5Gz Safely.
With a
Gigabyte GA-6Z8AP-D3 Z68 Chipset ?

Does this sound better?

Also i say the GTX 580 due to it being a fair bit more powerfull, yeah it eats more power but been looking about and see it wins hands down against the GTX 560. I know its a fair bit more £££ but i want a Card that can blow out the games on high settings with ease, and not have to upgrade for 1 or 2 years.

Yes, that's the 2500k we are talking about :)

I would look closely at the 560 ti 448 core. It's a long, specific name that really means it is more a GTX570 than a 580. You are simply paying too large of a premium over the 570 or 560ti 448 for a very marginal increase in performance.

Do yourself a favor and get a cheaper and only slightly slower card and "splurge" on the PSU with part of the difference.

Agreed AMD is not an option at any level at the moment. Buy yourself a new IB cpu, or 2500k. AMD is trash for a new build at the moment, unless your getting a free motherboard or something, even on a budget though Intel destroys AMD offerings.
