Just a firewire card for capturing DV video...?

Just wanting to check before I splash out some cash... 🙂

I have a Canon DV camera and also a copy of Adobe Premiere 6.5. Am I correct in thinking that now all I need to transfer video onto my PC is a standard PCI firewire card? Premiere will be able to capture it from the firewire card ready for editing - correct?

TIA for your help,

Yes and yes. 🙂

Let me know what you think about Premiere 6.5. I also have a copy, but haven't played around with it much.

Thanx beloved patriot 🙂

NP.

One more thing, you'll need a firewire cable...if the card doesn't come with one.

Good luck!
