I would like thank many of you for showing a great deal of respect in your threads. I am an Iranian American but I consider my self a proud citizen of the United States even though I love my homeland and culture. I am very saddened by all the events and while I'm not a believer of Islam or any structured religion I know that this is has been a sad week in both American, Middle East, and Islamic history. I have seen a few people unfortunately make blanket statements about attacking my country and it's people. Many of us or angry and frustrated and mixing that with Ignorance only results in tragic statements and actions. This is true for people here as well as anywhere else in the world including Iran. Unfortunately it is those few who get the greatest attention (esp. Media) and who ultimately spoil it. If some you truly hold hostile feelings towards people of middle eastern descent I can understand in some way but please try and look beyond that as often we know little to make such judgements. The same is true for those bastard terrorists who so violently took away so many innocent lives. Lets not stoop to their level. Again I thank and admire all those who have had the wisdom and compassion to see beyond the anger and I stand next to you in this proud society we have built.
