few days ago I saw visual studio.NET. umm...no J++ ni there now. Ah well, not a biggie, i thought to myself.
Until I realized that I had no clue how to test/compile my code. In VS c++ 6, I'd just create a *.c file for a c program, type it, hit compile, build and execute icons on the top right. the .NET version...wtf was I supposed to do?
"no biggie, i can figure it out" i thought.
so after about 10 minutes of toying with the thing, I still couldn't. (if any of you know how to do this, i'd be happy to learn).
=====
do you guys ever notice how crappy some classes are from the start? I'm sitting in EE thinking "shoot me!" because the prof makes up
some of the most strangest examples (WHY THE HECK would I want to build a circuit when I can have a c program do this for me?!?!?!)

perhaps it's just me who thinks about the future when it's quite a ways ahead, but does it seem like time moves faster as you get older? or maybe it's just because I'm getting more work to do. coast in business, fried in BME/EE. Grrr. (if my gpa turns out to be a 2.7 - 3.3 ish when i grad, is that decent? what the heck is the average gpa for an engineer? hehe, I haven't even taken any BME courses yet. Why do I get this feeling i'll be wondering "which gives me more work? EE or BME? and then, "even if i find the stuff interesting, if my gpa sucks, is it worth it?")
=====
one of those x-file "I want to believe" posters is hanging in my dorm room. Was $10 for it too much to ask? (i bought it here. they probably inflated the price by 200% or something)
=====
final fantasy x. nice. now i've come to see why people like nice graphics so much. good graphics and music just involve you slightly more. story/character development is the meat of it, but with nice graphics...it just draws you in.
=====
my logitech z560s. ah, nice. now how loud do these things really get. i'm thinking about testing that once finals are all over. should i worry about anything if i were to max the volume settings out?
=====
That's about it for now.
