I just recently bought a motherboard bundle that included the motherboard, the processor and the fan. Well the problem im having is that when i switch on the computer. the fans start to spin. Then the computer just stops and does not doing anything else. The HD light stops on untill the computer is switched off.

I have an AS Rock K7VT2 motherboard with a KT266A chip set. FSB 200/266mhz
An AMD Athlon XP 2000
a Cooler Master DP5-6J31C fan

Hope someone can help me with my little dilema. Thank you in advance

Nope, I cant get into anything as the computer starts for only a few seconds before it just stops, though its still switched on. The monitor wont turn on either.

Yep I checked the jumper settings, I tried them in every combination. I have a 300w power supply

Maybe they didn't seat the heatsink correctly. try removing it, take off thermal pad, put on thermal paste and put it back on.
