this exactly why police need to be held accountable.

None of us believe all cops are bad. But "Blue Lives Matter" was always a diversion, an attempt to pretend that this kind of behavior was just the result of a "few bad apples" rather than to accept the truth that there are systemic problems that enabled those Baltimore officers, or the officers that murdered Eric Garner, Walter Scott and numerous others.

And to be clear: Black Lives Matter has never said that other lives don't. It's drawing attention to an issue of police violence against unarmed black people that, let's be honest, would likely go largely ignored otherwise.
