Just 2 quesions as I am building

I have the antec sonata II. For those familiar with the duct system, I went ahead and ordered a 92mm fan to place in the duct. However, now that I think about it, is it even worth having the duct in there period? Does it disrupt the flow? I ordered a 120mm intake fan and it comes with a 120mm exhaust fan already. It seems as if the 92mm fan is blowing air on the CPU AGAINST the heatsink/fan. Can someone explain this to me? I just wanted to know if the duct is a good idea.. or should I take it out.

Another quick (somewhat silly) question. I have the a DFI Lanparty nf4 ultra-d with the Karajan sound unit. I however have a soundblaster audigy 2 zs. Do I need to install the Karajan unit? It is a requirement for the MB to function? Yes it is a silly question, but I honestly don't know.

Thanks for the help.

No, I have the DFI board and the Audigy 2 also, and I never installed the little board. When loading drivers, make sure to not load the included DFI audio driver; though it shouldn't cause problems, drivers are quirky things at best.

So for the MB, don't install the Karajan sound unit if I have the audigy 2 zs? That is what I picked up on. I just wanted to ensure that it wouldn't affect how the MB functioned. I take it, it does not?

Secondly, I am still confused about the case. The fan is placed in the duct to let the air be pulled in and blows it TOWARDS the CPU. I have heard that some people say it disrupts airflow in two ways. One, the heatsink/fan on the chip is trying to blow air AWAY from the cpu, and secondly, the duct itself disrupts flow in the case. As I do have two 120mm fans total (intake and exhaust), should I use the duct system or no? That much I am still uncertain of. If it does work, I do want to use it.

Got most of my questions answered. My computer is essentially built. The only question that remains is to stick the duct in the case or not. I read one article that says no, but I do want other opinions. I already have an extra 120mm tricool intake to match the exhaust tricool 120mm.

Also, another big concern I have is balancing noise with keeping the case cool enough for overclocking the opteron. Having the fans on loud is almost too much, but on low... are they enough? Even with the two case fans alone there is a lot of noise (if on high, NOT if on low). Also, the thermaltake venus 7+ makes a lot of noise as it is. (Blah, 2am broken english, but hopefully someone understand what I am saying). I want to keep the case quiet, but also want to maximize air flow to overclock my opteron 165.

I think you would be better concentrating on good quality heat sink/fan combos for cooling, rather than chocking the case up with exaust fans. I made this error 2 systems ago where I went mental and had fans everywhere lol! Computer ran hotter (by 8 degrees celcius) (cant spell haha!!) and sounded like an aircraft carrier! Just relax on the fans and check out good quality cpu / gpu coolers, and you will achieve good QUIET and cool results!
