161 counts?

.....At least for me, the choice for life in prison or death would be an easy one. :|

same here.

if you are guilty of say more then 2 counts of murder it should be an automatic death penalty.

they should tie a fire cracker to each of his appendages and blow it up.

then toss him in the can.

Double Jepordy - Feds / State should not be able to abuse the issue by passing the buck around when they do not like the verdict.

Just like the Rodney King fiasco in LA.

While I am sometimes in favor the death penalty, I just don't find his actions to be terribly saddistic or cruel. He killed those people in a rather impersonal way. It's not like he was dancing around in their blood. Besides, prison will be good for him.

That has to be the worst argument against the death penalty i've ever heard.

Do you know how many crimes were committed in that one act? Do you know if they charged him for all those at once (DAs liberty) and he's being retried?

From the quick blurb I heard about how/why he's back in court is because he wasn't tryed on all crimes, just the state crimes first.

If you blow up a mailbox you have committed several local/state/federal crimes. You can be tried and punished seperatly for each.

how can one pick life in prison on this one?

For those who oppose the death penalty, who do you think should pay for their daily meals and other costs of keeping them locked up after it has been determined they cannot be rehabilitated and can no longer be a contributing member to society?

There have been some prisoners locked up for so long, it was estimated that it had cost nearly a million dollars to keep them imprisoned... tax payer money that could have been used for schools, roads, etc...

/end of rant

Who are we to act like God to tell people they deserve to die? He could possibly turn his life around and become a productive member of society, like a Catholic priest or attorney. Why deny him of this privilege?

j/k, he should probably get ownt.

Doesn't it currently cost more to kill a guy then it does to imprison him for life?
