I was on Telephone Standby and just called to see if I have to go tomorrow and my number was called.

What should I expect, it?s my first time.
 
Lucky you - here in Georgia, you're on the hook for the week. I've been summoned four times, only served on one actual trial, only went into jury questioning one different time. The other two times, I had to go in the first day, then call the night before to see if I had to report the next day...this would go on for the whole week.

Well i went in and i got called right away first group. The lawyers explain to us the case and then went through about 11 people and they all got excused and put back in the waiting room.

Most of all the people didnt get picked because they told us the trial could run for 2 weeks and no one wanted to do that. So finally the lawyers asked the entire group who could do 1-2 weeks and only 4 people raised their hand. Out of the 4 2 got picked then we all got excused and we would go back to the waiting room but then a lady told us that instead we would be excused and could go home.

Now i don't have to do it for 6 years or 2 years if i get a federal jurdy duty call.
 
I've filled out and sent in the jury duty form SIX TIMES and they've never called me back. Knock on wood.

I filled out the form (well online) and got called with in two months.
