Jury Duty

I had Jury Duty yesterday, and it was so damn boring...

I get there at 8am, we watch this "How the Jury system works" video, then proceed to sit there the rest of the day. I had 2 magazine that i exhausted pretty quickly.

I know jury duty is needed, but maybe a better system could be developed...

also the case i could have potentially been a juror for was a cookie cutter, car accident, with neck/back injuries. I was not chosen though.

GBA & a few games till I got called worked for me 😛

next time i am bringing a gba, book, and a magazine

Haven't been called yet. I don't think the jury system works anymore, as exemplified by the OJ trial, the Rodney King / LAPD trial, and all these suits where people are getting millions and millions for being stupid (the idjit who flipped her explorer, the Einstein who poured coffee on her own lap, etc). As such, I imagine I'd hate it.

I had it for the first time EVER yesterday!

Waited around for two hours, they said they didn't need me, and I went back to work.

I WAS looking forward to it though. I just want to see how things work, you know?

I have been called twice. But each time it has been cancelled!

I want to do it. But guess its not my time yet heh.

I can't wait for my first jury duty notice. Yeah it's going to suck, but I want to see how the system works and I want to be a part of something like that for once in my life -without having to rob the bank first. 😉

The only part I didn't like was when they showed us the skull. Not because I was grossed out by the skull itself, but by the smell of the chemicals they stored it in. Yikes...

BTW: The trail I could have been a part of would have been lame anyway.

Some homeless guy with mental problems who was arrested for trespassing at a supermarket.

I'm pretty sure I KNOW how that turned out...

Someone has to do it, but it better not be me!🙂

They had me on their list for the first time in April, but I called their bluff. I called every day (or so), but they stopped needing ppl at group 22. I was in group 23. Yeeeeah!

served in March for 10 business days. When you go about every work day without having to leave your house... serving for 10 days sucks horse manure.
