jury duty related... quick questions...: updated - date moved.

i consider LA county my home but i go to sac. state.. i need to reject the jury duty..

i can either say im a resident of sacramento, though actually i officially still am voter registraion in LA county.

If I say im a sac. county person then I will be automatically rejected, which is good.

But technically i still consider LA home.. how do i do this..

how is resident of the county determined?

okay so i call..

i tell them see.. though im an LA county resident.. I technically cant attend because

1. i dont live there, cause im going to school at Sac. State
2. my semesters are too freaking close for a break - ex: my spring sem ends may 26th, summer starts june 1st.
summer ends august 26th, fall starts september 1st.

So now she puts me for May 24th.. i got to call back then and post pone to winter 2004.

bah..


why dont they automatically take off college students.. its know than the procecutor will want them but the defence wouldnt cause college students can critically think and therefore arent suitable jurors cause they will think on their own.

manjul, intelligent independant thinking college students are on the demise. i'm sure the defence would love to have some lemming do-whatever-the-pop-star-of-the-week-does college students on the jury.
