Hi all. This afternoon I bought a Jupiter Radeon 7500 for 309 Dutch Guilders, that's about 130 US Dollar. Pretty cheap, I WAS happy with it.

After coming home the problems started. The first prob was the card just didn't work. I tried it on two systems.
I thought, lets take a look on Jupiter's site. There I saw they build two types of 7500's; the VE and Pro version. The name of the Pro card is 'Evil Master.' My box says 'Evil Master,' so that should be ok. But the picture of the VE on the site looks like my card, so that should mean I have a VE Radeon

Radeon Pro version

Radeon VE version.

(I have the green card).

These are the specs of the VE:
RADEON 7500 VE comes powered by up to 64MB -4ns of SDR memory @175Mhz and chipset core@250Mhz to accelerate latest 2D and 3D graphics, productivity applications and games.

175 mem is slow, or isn't it? What should I do, ask my money back or just change the card for a good one? To be honest, I feel screwed.

Thanks, and excuse me for the crappy English :)

First suggestion is to download PowerStrip and confirm what your core and memory clock is running at.

Welcome to the forums Artcore:)

Do the serial numbers on your box and the card match up? Pictures sometimes get screwed-up.
And most definately, return the card if you did'nt get what you paid for.

Also, DDR ram has contacts on all four sides, SDR ram on only two.

Rand: I dont even get into Windows with this card.

Killrose: Thanks :)

But the serial does match, and the memory is DDR indeed.

Next time Ill just buy myself a quality ATi card I guess
