I'm sick of junkmail. I get probably 5-10 credit card applications a day. I'm sick of shredding them all.
Lately, I've been opening them, writing "No Thanks" on the application part, stuffing everything back into the Postage Paid business reply envelope, and dropping it in the mail. I figure even if they throw it right in the trash bin without taking my name off their list, at least it's a few extra cents for the USPS every time. If everyone did it, maybe postal rates would quit going up every year.
I was just wondering if there are any legal issues to doing this? Could I get sued? I wouldn't imagine it would be illegal to return the junkmail they sent me in their postage paid envelope, but I've heard of dumber things being illegal.
