I love this frikin show. this is what I was born to do. how can I get on there?
Step 1.
This is the important one. Decide who is going to be on your team. Together you need a broad range of skills, from woodworking, to welding, to familiarity with engines. You must get along and have something in common. This could be a hobby or a job, or you could all just live on the same street. We love teams with a strong identity - check out the amazing NERDS from New England...
Step 2.
Think of a team name. Better yet, think of two or three. It should be something that really sums your team up for people who don't know you ? people like us.
Step 3.
Print out or copy the the application forms. Fill them out carefully in CAPITAL LETTERS. Remember to fill the form out for your teammates too (or get them to do it themselves!)
Step 4.
Find a recent photograph of you and each of your team members. Write your name, address, telephone number and team names on the back. Attach the correct photograph to each set of forms - this helps us put names to faces when we finally get to meet you.
Step 5. ? take care here ? it's the most important step
Now this is where the fun starts. So that we can get to know you better, we ask all our applicants to put together a video. Beg, steal or borrow a video camera (of any type ? we can handle all formats - though do prefer normal-sized vhs) and put it down on something solid. Stand in front of it and switch it on ? it's show time!
