As far as I know you get Elite when forum members vote and tell the Mods who they want to get the Elite status. It doesn't come with post count.

Adrenelin - two things:

1) Did your name originate from the Deftones Album?
2) Make sure your posts are quality, or at least give some type of meaningful input to the thread... That is the true way to gaining the respect of all the Russ' and NFS4's
