Basically, someone else is testing something new on their system that will have absolutely no impact on any end users. Nope, not going to do anything to "prepare" for it.
 
Very few consumer routers support IPv6, so it is going to be a long long time before it reaches the average home user. IPv4 isn't going away, and will be around for decades yet.
 
all the routers support ipv6->4 now - this is what everyone will use. most consumer and low end gear does ipv6 in software and ipv4 in hardware which is completely useless other than to make your windows 7 network experience poopy (win7/vista falls back from ipv6 to ipv4 after enough errors). most people don't think to disable ipv6 on their network interfaces.
