Jumpy Mouse..

I have the Logitech mouse with the drivers installed from the CD. Recently, the mouse pointer will just randomnly throw itself around my screen without me even moving the mouse itself. I just got out and got a new mouse and it is still doing it. I got another Logitech mouse but left the drivers uninstalled.

Anyone have any idea what it is or what I can do?

It is not wireless. The one I bought is the Logitech Click! Optical Mouse.

The one I had before is also a Logitech Optical Mouse with a cord.

My mouse does that sometimes too. I think it's because the optical sensor is having trouble reading the surface it's on. If you have it sitting directly on your desk try using it on a mousepad.
