Recently bought a laptop,
Intel Core 2 Duo T5500
1 gig ram,
USB2
Windows Vista Home Premium

Got a USB Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse

Thing is, it's bugging the crap outta me!!!
Pointer seems to have a mind of it's own, jumps about all over the screen.
I've tried it in different USB ports, installed Intellipoint for it, the version for this mouse, disabled the in built pad/buttony thing and it just won't stop :(
It's driving me nuts, anyone know how to fix this??

Try a new Logitech and be sure and get a driver that works properly. You might try a different driver version for your MS. I have trouble with the setpoint program. Logitech works much better for me anyway.

Optical mice are bad for that. I wouldn't buy anything but laser, and taping a piece of paper down will give you the best results with any of them.
