Any from google, to here, to bluesnews, my own http://family.erzz.com and http://pc.erzz.com

Strange thing is sometimes with just one firefox running the pages can be OK for a while, other times they are not. Plus if I have 2 x firefox open.... the second instance is guaranteed to be jumping even if its displaying the same page as the 1st

Anyone???

Spent most the afternoon at 'work' looking for solutions to this...

lots of rubbish around like its to do with scroll bars and stuff which simply cant be true given the inconsistent nature of the problem?

Shame cos I am quite smitten at the moment with open source - been v impressed with postnuke and mambo as web CMS's and of course the wonderful mysql. Thunderbird seems like a decent mail client too.

That's a bizarro problem if I've ever seen one.

Do you have any idea what might have triggered it?

No jumping here (ff 1.02).

/edit: and I disabled adblock and still don't get any jumping on those sites.

I have no idea what you are talking about

Have you tried deleting your profile and reinstall? You can also just rename your profile directory before you do a clean reinstall so you can copy the stuff you want later.

You have any bookmarks in the quick launch bar up top? If you dont, try adding one and that should fix it.

i saw this the other day.
i use windowblinds too. i've only noticed it with like one theme tho. anywayz.. for me, it only did that when i had the Bookmarks Toolbar open. my Bookmarks Toolbar is empty too, if that made a difference.

I encountered the same issue when I connected my mouse into the USB port.

Incidentally I moved my mouse to the PS2 port to increase its sampling rate to 200 reports/second, and afterward this issue disappeared.

Want to see real jumping in Firefox? Set 'viewmanager.do_doublebuffering' to false, restart the browser, and then watch as things flash around quickly during redraw. :(
