Jumpstarting safety question

Ok, I'm in a fairly depserate position at the moment, and have a quick question.

Is it safe to jumpstart a 12V motorcycle battery from a car? My intuition tells me no, but then the rest of me takes over and says ahh well, screw it...just give it a try and find out. But I'd rather not kill myself or someone else in the process. So any input would be appreciated. Thanks

don't know if it is safe. But the worst thing that could happen is that the battery explodes. Just don't stand too close 😉

It's perfectly safe, but DO NOT START THE CAR when the bike is hooked up to it.

1. Pull up to bike with car
2. Shut off car
3. Hook up jumper cables
4. Start bike
5. Unhook jumper cables
6. Ride away

sward...thanks for the input. Just did another search on google for jumpstarting motorcycles from cars, and came across that same advice. The article it was in wasn't dated, though, so wasn't sure if the info still applied. Thanks for reinforcing.
