Going to Vegas next saturday for a bachelor party. Part of the festivities includes skydiving. Doing a 3 mile jump! I figure what the hell, i'll probably never have a chance to do it again! I hear its worth it...

As an ex-Air Force:
Why would anyone want to jump out of a perfectly good plane.
On the other hand I had to also go through jump school at Ft Benning to be able to fly.
It is a rush - enjoy it.

Well it doesn't matter when a guided missile or flak is heading toward your soon not to be perfectly good airplane.
And for your sig, the F15 lost in simulated combat ( To an F-22). Does that count?

3 mile jump? Isnt that 18,000 feet approx vertically? I thought typical skydiving height was 8000 feet... ( 1.5 miles )
