jumper question!

on my EPOX 8K7A I changed my jumper from 100 mhz to 133 mhz because I have a 266 FSB, do I need to change any other jumpers I have a 1.4 GHZ T-Bird.

in other words, read the manual. If you don't feel like reading, then that should be it. Might want to check the bios to see what it's take on the matter is (it is semi-jumperless right?)

yeah it doesent have too many jumper only a few I read the whole manual and there is so much junk in the manual about the BIOS I dont even know if I need all that junk maybe somebody that has used the 8K7A could help me out? thanks!

That should be the only jumper you need to change if you don't overclock. You will have to mess with the DDR and Vcore jumpers if you do decide to overclock. But to get going just do the 133 jumper and let her rip!

there is so much junk in the BIOS do I need to change anything in there? maybe somebody could give me a list of what to do?

The only thing you need to do is shut off the onboard sound if you have a soundcard. Other than that you should be able to just start up and go.

I didn't spend a ton of time in the BIOS for that board, but it didn't have a lot of settings having to do with the processor, so you shouldn't need to make any more adustments than you already have to bump the FSB from 100 to 133 MHz.

ok thanks 🙂 ill disable the on board audio and then I will install windows 98 SE 🙂 my case is coming today 🙂 I will have my system done by saturday! woohoo!
