Jumbo frames

So in order to use jumbo frames, I have to have a switch that supports jumbo frames, and all NICS that also supports jumbo frames right?

I'm trying to build a NAS and I have integrated physical gigabit ethernet cards. My main computer has jumbo frame support but I don't know if my server computer does.

You set the TCP/IP Stack to 9000 MTU.

If the same TCP/IP stacks are used for Internet browsing as well it might Slow down your Internet.

Segmenting the Network to 100Mb/sec. and 1000Mb/sec. might be the solution.

Example, Setting a Home/SOHO Giga network.
