Most of them are already in bed since it's past their bed time.

Plenty of older people read Harry Potter, too.

the mayor of Michigan recently approved a project to convert 3 square miles of Michigan downtown into hogsmead for the launch of potter.

the xcitement that month i cant bear it. i will take a month off my life when the book comes out. just read in a locked close, the go to movie, then visit michigan, then come back here and sulk that harry potter is no more. it was the last. :(

That's happening in Marquette, in the UP. I wish it was closer :(.

I haven't preordered it, I'm going to wait in line at the Meijer down the road with a few friends. That's what I've done for all the previous books. It's tradition!

Negative. YOu don't preorder. A true fan shows up to Barnes & Noble like me and lines up for the party at midnight.

I'm serious.

I've done it for Books 5 & 6.

Call me a dork.

I remember sneaking Book 6 to work to read =)

True, midnight launch FTW. The best part is there's usually always plenty of books to go around unlike launches such as the Wii :p So there really is no need to preorder

LoL yup. They're fun too. I mean I'm not a Harry Potter dork or anything, so I'm usually just there with a group of friends enjoying their coffee and reading some car magazines. Or maybe we walk around the mall that the BN is in.

Hey, but if you're truly a fan, there's events like "Pictures with Hermione". I remember my friend and I were thinking how some hot girl would be there dressed up as Hermione, but apparently it's just a cardboard standup >.<

Make sure you get there EARLY so you get a number in line. Then you can go do whatever. The first time I showed up 2.5 hours before the release and somehow I got out in 30 minutes.

I don't know what happened the second time, but I got there at 5:30pm and it still took an hour and a half for us to get our books.

That said, you could just wait till the next morning and get the book for cheaper at Costco, but what kinda fan does that right? =P

And yea, there's plenty of books. No matter how late you show up, you'll get a book. It's not like they'll run out.

Plus, the freebies are nice. I got a bracelet, Harry Potter glasses and a poster last time =]

No need to preorder - these books are everywhere.

If you have any selfcontrol at all, which I don't, just wait a week or two and the folks that waited in line will have already finished the thing and you can borrow the book and read it for free.

Why did this thread have 0 stars. I voted it a 5 and it went up to 1. That means 4 other people voted it a zero.

I think those people should be banned :(
