You're the murderer.

If his quote is accurate, he is wantonly killing our allies by exposing them. You don't do that in war. I've no qualms about you calling me what you like as long as people like Assange are taken care of.

You're a psychopath, so of course you hide behind some quote such as that. You rush to call for killing; you can't tell the difference between defense and offense.

I just don't dance around the fact that bad people need to die. Everyone in the our country used to recognize that. Now people think they can talk down Muslim extremists and coddle child molesters.

Fail234 would just as soon see every member of our armed services dead as anyone in AQ, or the Taliban, he's really a disgusting "human".

After due process they did. We seem to be forgetting our constitution lately.

Come on now, some of you just absurdly fucking stupid. You're frothing at the mouth calling for torture and death based on some flimsy circumstantial he said she said bullshit. While I don't really think Assange likes the US too much, I don't think he ONLY targets the US, but rather corruption which our country does host a lot of. To deny that is purely ignorant and there would be no point in posting on a MESSAGE BOARD. The prevailing ignorant attitudes displayed here are the reason things like Due Process and the US Constitution fucking exist!

I've been saying for a long time that the wikileaks / anonymous people are basically just modern vigilantes. At the end of the day they want to make the rules on the streets and don't respect the outcomes of democratic decision-making.

Did he work with them or the rest of Wikileaks?

the biggest leak dump was a joint effort with the Times, Guardian, and Post.

he got pissy with the Times, because they published a few unflattering articles about him, so he decided to exclude them. The Guardian, being ethical however, decided to send to the Times what Assange sent to them prior to publication. "A deal is a deal," was their motto.

So, yes--he collaborated with major western media to release the documents. He held several press conferences prior to release.

But I do agree with you that is intent is way less than noble. He is megalomaniac. I don't think he wishes the utter destruction of the US or to have it fall victim to its enemies. He certainly hopes to embarrass the US and expose a lot of the hypocrisy behind what he believes to be our core values.

He is certainly a vain asshat of the highest calibre, but he's not a terrorist. I think the root of his cause is necessary to a certain degree, but he has shown himself to be a dangerous, careless, and utterly callous individual.

Imagine the shit-storm if after having revealed the intel regarding the Abottobad compound prior to the raid actually compromised that operation.

None of us would have ever known about it, of course; but we would have also experienced a "disappeared" Assange shortly after that.
