It depends on a couple factors, how fast I drive and if I use the heater or not. Using the heater causes the engine to turn on more often and run for longer since it uses a traditional heater core to heat the air to keep the cabin warm. If I drive 65-70mph I can get 39-40mpg pretty easily, if I'm going 80 or faster expect a decrease of a couple mpg. In stop and go or city driving I can get in the low 40s if I'm just driving normally. If I'm accelerating quickly, using the heater, and/or carrying my bike (trailer hitch), especially if I'm carrying the bike and travelling at freeway speeds, I will get around 35mpg.

Surprisingly enough, running the A/C doesn't really have much effect on fuel economy so I get the best fuel economy during the summer even if it is really hot out.

I cranked over the 20,000 mile mark a couple weeks ago and I'm about 2 weeks short of the one year mark for ownership.

1 year, 20k miles. WTH do you do in the state of CA.

But i would be more inclined to drive if i can get 40's for MPG compared to my 20

I commute 70 miles round trip to work 5 days a week.

I've had exactly zero issues with the car so far. 4 oil changes and tire rotations (all at no charge-part of 2 years of free maintenance that came with the car).

This car cut my monthly fuel bill in half.

Pretty standard. There's not many places within 20-30 miles of my office where I can both afford and want to live.

For me it is my wife and son. My wife works out of the house and built her business in the area we live, she has made a name for herself there so moving would destroy all that hard work that she has done plus my son is in school there and has friends where we live so moving him is not something I want to do if it can be avoided... and it can.

The area I work in is nice and I'd totally live here but then we would have to sell our house, buy something local or rent, move my son to a new school and my wife would have to start over again with her business in this area. Plus there is no guarantee that this job I have now will go on indefinitely. Nope, moving is not an option.

I used to work 10 miles from home but that job went bye bye a few years ago so I'm doing the 35 mile commute thing for now.
