My roomate left a huge jug of juice in my room the other day, and i woke up to his cant knocking it off my dresser and onto my laptop Long story short, laptop is now screwed....i think. Some lights are still on (It's a Toshiba Sattelite 5005) but it wont turn on, But I want to know if anyoen can tell me if....there is a slight cnahce (it wasnt on when the jucie spilled) that I may be able to go in and clean it up and maybe get it to work again, and if not, what components I can salvage and sell 🙁.

Thanks

I dropped a water baloon my my portable stereo once, once it dried it worked fine.

But juice and a laptop may be more of a problem, juice is sticky....did you leave the laptop for a while? how long? was it plugged in but off? how much juice?

Unfortunately, juice is more than sticky, it is also acidic.
Over time the contacts on the components will corrode.

Unless you disasemble and clean the risidue off, you will likely
have problems down the road anyways.

Get a good component cleaner (from a real Electronics store) and go at it.

Sugar + circuits = dead circuits
I once spilled mountain dew on a keyboard and by the time I had opened the keyboard up to clean it the pathways on the keyboard sheets were black.
