Thanks, I picked up one of the $20 gi's. This will be my first self-purchased gi (my current one was free from my karate class) so I wanted to play it safe in case it doesn't fit. I'm not very advanced anyway so it probably doesn't matter. Hopefully the 100% cotton will be cooler than the cotton/poly mix of my current gi.

No mention of weight, I'd personally want to know what I was getting into. I've owned about a dozen from light work out gi's to canvas judo gi's - it's all what you prefer and what you will use it for. Still the prices are nice if you know the product.

Yea, according to adidas's website the Champion gi is double weave. I'm glad I ordered mine when I did, it looks like they dont have any size greater then 2 in the juijitsu gi's.

I've had a champion adidas gi for 5 years or so now - it is sweet (but heavy). I'm going to probably pick up two more, I think I had gotten mine for $150 and it was a good deal...

I finally got my gi yesterday (due to their policies, I had to have it shipped to my parents' house, which is where my credit card billing address is... it arrived at my parents' house pretty quickly (although strangely the e-mail with the tracking number arrived *after* the package had already been delivered) but I was only able to get it from my mom yesterday).

Anyway, it is quite nice IMO. Again, I don't really have much experience with these things, but I have no problem believing that this is a $60 gi. The fabric is quite heavy and 100% cotton. The only problem is that it is quite large. I am 6'1", 200lbs, and I ordered a size 6 (200 European). I was swimming in it before I washed it, and it has definitely shrunk after washing but it still is too large. The legs and arms are a good 2-3 inches too long, although I like the way it generally fits my body. I think I will keep this one and alter the sleeves and pants legs, and also order another one (size 5) and see how it fits. Fortunately, the sale is still going.
