Judged?!?!?!

Ok I am a little mad here and need some feedback here. People judge me because I am somewhat good with technology. Names like nerds, geeks and no-life tend to come up alot. I know I am not alone on this "geek thing" but here is some of my ways of life that people judge me before they know me. Am I just weird or do people need to know before they judge?

1. I love metal music and unlike what people think, I do not like techno.
2. I have some friends and in the past had girlfriends that people said are out of my league.
3. I am not nervous when it come to talking to girls or meeting new people.
4. I do like playing a video games once in a while.
5. I am somewhat good with anything that is realiting to technology.
6. I am kinda a class clown at times and I am seroius when it comes time to.

I dont know what is other peoples problem. But judging is wrong. Do you agree?

Try playing kickball with the 'cool' kids at recess. Or have your mom pack 'sick' (that's what they say now, right?) lunches, everyone will want to trade.

Just change your clothes, people can't tell that you are good with tech by looking at you but might assume you are a nerd from how you dress... If this is not the case then idk what's going on... maybe you are squeaky when you talk?

How is "judging" wrong? Everything about life is judging, from friends to work to cars to music to... everyting.

Based on this I'm going to take a random guess and say that you're just a wee bit thin-skinned. Life's rough, get a helmet.

Look kid, heuristics are necessary for everyone to get by on a day-to-day level. There simply is not enough time for us all to interact with everyone as a unique individual and still be productive in our jobs and to give enough time to our family and friends. I know you're a little peeved that not everyone engages you as though you were a beautiful and unique snowflake, but when was the last time you took the time to truly and personally interact with everyone you met?

You can't honestly tell me that every time you go through the supermarket line you spend the 2-3 hours necessary to establish a baseline knowledge of the checkout person as an individual. I'm betting that if you interact at all you use some basic pleasantries and maybe a couple of tired jokes that are based on how you perceive the life of a checkout person to be.

It's just not reasonable to go through life expecting everyone to be your friend. Deal with it.

Also, you might do well to pay attention to this quote from Terry Pratchett, "Multiple exclamation points are the sure sign of a diseased mind."

Get out of high school and stop worrying about what people call your or who's sitting on what lunch table.

I cut my lip while shaving this morning and now it looks like I have herpes. I'm pretty sure people have been judging me all day because of it.
