The government has the right to control your body.

If the government wants to draft able bodied males and send them off to war, the government has that right.

If men can be sent off to die, then women can be forced to have a child.
So you believe that the government has the right to control a person's body for any reason whatsoever?

This is good news. These anti-abortion laws are dropping like flies lately. I hope it keeps up.

As a man morally against abortion, I'm a propoent of people having the option to make their own decision legally...so I agree with the options becoming more and more available.

I just never understood the motivation behind making anti-abortion laws...as even though I'm still trying to understand, I simply cannot.

So now you're supporting crimes against humanity and apologizing for slavery. How morally repugnant.

Just because something is legal doesn't make it right.

You never answered my question about the draft.

I imagine you did register for the draft?

How does it make you feel for the government to make you do something against your will?

Stop trying to move the conversation away from your apologism for slavery.

Did you register for the draft?

No, it wasn't required when I turned 18 (draft ended early 1973). When it was reinstated (Selective Service System instated 1980) I was already serving in the US Navy.

The SCOTUS has determined that abortion is legal and women have the right to get one should they decide to do so. The US is a nation of laws, if you don't like a law contact your representatives.

I feel the government has the right to control a persons body when it comes to the greater good.

Murdering unborn children is not in the greater good.

Do not hide behind the shield of law.

The supreme court upheld slavery.

The supreme court upheld forced sterilizations.

The supreme court upheld forced relocation and detainment (Japanese-Americans world war II).

The supreme court upheld that you can be forced to buy a product (ACA).

Probably the same kind of judge that would have kept Dachau open.

It's legal right? Closing Dachau or abortion clinics would be an undue burden.

Your penchant for likening things you don't agree with to Nazis and the Holocaust is nothing short of amazing.

You really expect people here to take you seriously, don't you? Fascinating.

Same shit, different day.

We have Nehalem256 arguing in favor of state restriction of abortion, even though he's advocated mandatory abortion in the past. We have Texashiker spouting the same shallow authoritarian do-gooderisms, only to run away as usual when the conceptualization moves out of his depth, like here-

http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=36668858&postcount=70

Completely ignored, of course.

So you support the government enforcing child support laws and jailing those who do not pay support.

You do have to admit, both sides of the abortion argument are quite inconsistent on what rights a person does actually have over their body.

Well that is out of professional courtesy, one deadbeat will stand up for another.

Piss off. I paid my child support and a lot more.

All of my kids are over 18 and I still keep them on my health insurance policy. I pay several hundred dollars a month above and beyond.

Guess what, my exwife has never provided health insurance for the kids. I pay close to $3k a year for their health insurance, and their mom pays nothing.

So who is the deadbeat?

Isn't that essentially what liberals are throwing a fit about? Louisiana passing a law that makes them butt-hurt?

Let me guess, if slavery were legalized you would be one of the first people at the auction barn?

Slavery is legal, right?

It is your right to own a slave, right?

So what about the moral implications.

Just because murdering an unborn child is "legal" does not mean it is right.

You're the one who wants to make women slaves by telling them what they can and cannot do with their own body. So I don't think you have a leg to stand on with this argument. Granted, the argument is fucktarded stupid asinine idiocy like every other single fucking post you've ever fucking made in these forums.

And?

Do you know men compose somewhere around 80% of the parents in jail for back child support, while women are only about 20%?

Men are required to register for the draft while women are not.

Are you ok with those types of discrimination?

How dare the government tell a man he will be sent off to die for his nation, but women are not.

Wrong:
Slavery is a system under which people are treated as property and are forced to work
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery

I believe it was just yesterday that Eskimospy argued that women have to do literally nothing for a fetus to become a child.

Therefore clearly pregnancy isn't work :sneaky:

So here we have it. You're finally coming out with your actual reasoning. You hate women because you had to deal with child support payments and they don't have to register for selective service. You're jealous and angry and want to pay back women by controlling them and making them medical slaves. You want their bellies full of children and their mouths shut. There is something desperately wrong with you man. I seriously suggest you see a therapist to get over your anger issues and extreme misogyny.
