I'm 99% convinced Dcal is actually a conservative and is just trolling. There is no way anyone could honestly believe the things he has posted. No one is that dumb.

^This. He can't honestly be this much of a dickhead in real life. He has to be trolling these forums just to tick people off. Now that you mention it, if I was in his shoes doing it to troll, it would be quite funny reading our reactions. However, if he is for real, then he has problems.

Yea, I've been on plenty of them, now please prove you statement. Linking to a gun forum isn't proof of your statement that lots of gun owners have a "persecution complex" that is rarely based on facts. Are you implying that politicians don't try to make laws to infringe on gun owners rights? Or that there isn't an agenda to demonize inanimate objects, and make guns "scary"?

Free speech can cause more damage than me carrying a gun.

...and just how many whack job threads full of this shit do I have to spoon feed you?

A lot of "gun people" are as paranoid that the government is coming to take their guns as "gun controllers" are that CCW's are going to be the death of us all.

The NRA is brilliant really, akin to the AARP. If you can keep your members afeerd of the boogey man, the possibilities are endless.

How many times have the police shown up on your doorstep to take your guns?

As for your last line, I'm not even sure where that came from or why you felt the need to mention it...

I don't know I see 420 in a username and immediately stop listening.

I don't really think the NRA needs a paranoia agenda, there is a big push by the masses to get rid of guns.

You aren't "spoon feeding" anyone, anything. I've seen some of them, but I hate to break it to you, but some internet post doesn't prove your assertion.

A lot of "gun people" are as paranoid that the government is coming to take their guns as "gun controllers" are that CCW's are going to be the death of us all.

I'd actually say that the anti-gunners are the more extreme.

The NRA is brilliant really, akin to the AARP. If you can keep your members afeerd of the boogey man, the possibilities are endless.

By making sure that people are informed about politicians that are trying to limit their gun rights? Troll, troll, troll your boat ...

How many times have the police shown up on your doorstep to take your guns?

MotF Bane beat me to it.

As for your last line, I'm not even sure where that came from or why you felt the need to mention it...

Because free speech can cause a lot more damage than someone carrying a firearm, yet I don't see people freaking out about it. As a matter of fact, it seems quite the opposite, that when speech becomes more extreme and dangerous we fight to make sure that that speech is not infringed, why don't those same people hold all rights in the same regard?

I don't know. That sounds like the Brady supporters wish list to a tee and there are many politicians who believe in it.

I thought #5 was already being done or moved on in CA.

It passed last year but was struck down as being "unconstitutionally vague".

The idiots in the legislature are trying to pass it again though, and wasting more of our taxpayer money on this shit.

OP has to be a troll or the wet dream of a citizen for Hugo Chavez and the like.

Take every stereotypical portrayal about guns in hollywood shows and movies and you have a perfect indoctrinated mind of DCal430. I work with people like this. I mention statistics about murder rates and their eyes glaze over andt hey grow quiet. These people do exist, and their stances are not based on anything logical, it's all programming and fear from stuff they've seen on TV, I can only surmise.
