No one belt whooping doesn't drive me off the deep end. What do you know about this woman? Who knows how she was as a teen? We don't even know any particulars of what may have even led to this? Was it more than just the illegal downloading? After getting quite a few myself, getting whack with a belt while fully dressed stings a little, but ain't as bad as it looks.

No, criminal assault is not a different degree of spanking.

I was spanked maybe 3-4 times as a kid. It was my parents' capital punishment. Never anything like the video in the OP, but I was put over their laps and spanked several times, painfully. Not enough to leave a mark, but enough to get the message across. I never did anything I was spanked for again and the last time it happened was when I was 10. Every time I received multiple warnings and lighter punishments before the spanking, usually I'd have to directly defy them several times on the same issue.

My parents had a lot of faults, but they used spanking right.

I'm the same age and I have no problem with spankings and a certain measure of corporal punishment, but this was way overboard. Far too aggressive and abusive to be considered regular parental punishment.

Exactly. And I doubt he left a mark on her at all. Now my parents didn't spank when I was 16 though. When I look at the video, I am inclined to think there is more back drop to this story. I grew up with punishment like that. That was normal when you got way out of line. And more than likely this man's parents disciplined him the same way.

haha, you're really going out of your way to excuse this man's beating of a young, disabled girl--his daughter, no less.

Just look at his wife in that video--she is terrified of this man. Any therapist worth their salt can see the obvious history of mental and physical spousal abuse. Watch how she tries to push the husband away by promising the daughter that giving her one lick will end it--she needs to punish her in front of the husband, to both protect her daughter and herself.

The level of mental and physical abuse this man has so clearly enacted upon his family is sickening. No less sickening is anyone that would have the capicity to defend any action in that video.

You are pathetic.
