Juddering Clutch.

I have a 2004 car with 24000 miles, and i've noticed recently that when its cold (the car and outside temp) i.e in the morning, the first few times i pull away from a stop the clutch judders, as if it cant engage properly, it just seems like the clutch plates cant grip and its losing friction then gaining it again if you see what i mean, any clues? I'm thinking to just put it down as the clutch being cold and not giving as much friction as when its warmed up some and forgetting about it. What do u ppl think?
