It is probably adware or spyware. Run Spy Bot or Ad Aware to see if they can clean it. Some of those that create goofy letter combinations aren't always easy to remove. I've run a cross a couple that I had to track down manually.
I've tried Spy Sweeper and free version of adaware. It is still sitting there. I have it unchecked in msconfig start up but windows is still very slow to boot.
