JPG's have no icon

Hi,

I don't know what caused this since it happened a while ago, but all my jpg's that used to have the icon associated with jpg's when you first install windows are gone. My jpg's now have the "Windows doesn't know what program to use to open this" icon.

Help?

Thank you,
Horace

Just reassign it to something. You can do it a few ways:
1. Open Explorer/My Computer
2. Go to Tools -> Folder Options
3. File Types tab
4. Find jpeg, jpg extensions and reassign (windows default is Windows Picture and Fax Viewer)

You can also right click the file and under Open With you can assign it too

You've lost your file association for JPG files. As above, rebuild it. JPG files have no specific icon per se, rather, they will display the icon for the program you have associated with them for default opening. Example - I use Irfanview for that, and all my JPG files carry the Irfanview icon.
