.JPG on CD error on XP

Can anyone tell me why my PC running XP cannot read JPEG image files burned to a CD. I can view the photos on this CD on Windows 98 and Macintosh 9.0+ without any problems but I get an error on our pc running XP? I appreciate any light anyone can shed on this!

Might be a hardware issue. Can you actually see the jpegs on the cd? If you, can you copy them off? If not, might be your CD Drive not liking that burned media or something.
