JPEG Playback on DVD Player

EyeOfThe

Senior member
The Jpeg playback feature on our new Panasonic DVD player doesn't want to play jpg's that were made by a scanner. It's rejecting some other jpg files too but I'm not sure why.

I went to the Panasonic website and found zero information on why some jpg's work and some don't.

Anyone know?

Also, does the slide-show software "Dazzle" reduce picture quality?

Thanks

dazzle shouldent reduce quality.

and for the other issue im guessing that it reads only 1 type of jpeg. or 1 type of extension. jpeg's can be (*.jpg. *.jpeg, *.jpe)
im guessing it dosent like teh extensions

Are you scanning stuff in CMYK? Most applciations don't support CMYK jpegs (photoshop does, and will let you convert them to RGB).

All of the files have the JPG extension.

I never heard of CMYK... We were just scanniing the photos with the scanner and saving them.

Is there anything besides photoshop that can convert them to RGB? photoshop costs like 600 bucks - or are you talking about something else?

Or maybe there is a scanner setting that will make it scan with RGB format?
