I am in the market for a joystick and wondering what suggestions you have. Mainly for Flight Sims and Flight Combat games.
Been looking at the Logitech Freedom 2.4 Cordless Joystick. Read that when joystick is off the CPU usage goes to 100% when the RF modulator is looking for the joystick can anyone confirm that? Also, any other joysticks worth looking at?

Thanks!

MS Force Feedback 2 or Pro.

I've been really happy with mine and I've found that every game out there deals with it perfectly. They might make crap OS's but they sure do know how to make peripheral hardware!

Hell yeah. The X45 rocks for Falcon 4. It's a bit mushy though.

anyone know of a good place with a good price to get the X45 since it does not show up on pricewatch or pricegrabber?

i've been using a sidewinder precision pro for a while. haven't done anything serious w/ it though, just casual flying like "crimson skies" and "bf1942"

Go to Saitek.

They have it for U$80. Check under the reconditioned heading, it's U$40!

Either way, hundreds less than anything comparable.

I use the Logitech Freedom 2.4 Cordless Joystick and it's awesome, replaced a Wingman extreme.
Responce time is great on this, no lag whatsoever. I use rechargable batteries in it. They seem to last a long time too.
It has all the bells and whistles without the Cord. Highly recommended

I'd still go with Saitek, but I'd choose the Cyborg 3D. It can be had very cheaply on ebay and is by far the best joystick I've ever owned.
