hello all. I have joystick problems.
heres what happens:
I turn off computer.
I plug joystick into the game port.
I push power button. Fans spin up, but the monitor doesn't go out of its 'sleep' mode, and i don't get a beep outta it. I presume this means its failing to post.
I power down, unplug joystick
I turn on, works fine.
I install drivers before i turn off to put the joystick in, same thing happens.
Here is my hardware:
Soyo kt333 dragon ultra (platinum edition)
Saitek Cyborg 3d digital joystick (not a USB one . . . kinda old. worked on my previous machine)
athlonXP 2100+
geforce4 Ti 4600
i think thats everything pertenant to the problem, but for the record we have a seagate IV 80giger, an adaptec whatever 40 x someat burner, + an older toshiba DVD from my old dell.
im using onboard sound . . . . .
but still, it makes no sense. Why would having a jostick plugged stop a post? grrrrrrr.
