I just got this system going and I'm having problems with installing any kind of joysticks.. When I go to game controllers and try to add my joystick or any joystick my system locks up the second I press any of game controllers.. It does the same thing when I put the disk in and install it .. Once it reboots it locks up..

I'm runnig in windows 98 SE .. This is what I have in my system.

One thing you could try is to go into the bios and make sure that the game port is enabled. I know with my motherboard in the bios there is an option that will let you enable or disable the game port. It also tells you the resources assigned to the game port so you can write those down and check under the device manager to be sure that they are not in use by another device. Like for instance your wireless keyboard or optical mouse as these are not standard peripherals you'd find on a standard pc there may be a device conflict with them and as soon as you try to install the joystick with those interrupts it will lock up your pc. Just a few suggestions, worth checking into. Good luck.
