Joystick problems......confused

Have MS 3D pro and 3D Pro Plus. Have tried both and get not connected on both. Tried downloading patch and updated driver. Still have the same thing. Tried 3 different sound cards, that didn't work either.
AMD TB 1 ghz
Asus A7V

I have no conflicts and the device manager says that the device is working.

I've tried everything I can think of, if anyone has any ideas....it would be appreciated.

If they are USB, I recall reading about K7V and issues with USB in general. You might have to RMA your board.

*Edit* Missed the line about Soundcard, meaning they are gameport 'sticks. No idea then. Which cards have you tried? You might throw them in different slots as well. I know the Live! cards are picky
