Joyride announced last year that in January 2003 they would be releasing detailed Mechs from the Mechwarrior Series.

Well.. they're out.

The first wave will be Jupiter, Legionnaire, Forestry Mech and Mad Cat II.

MechWarrior® ? Forestry BattleMech Articulating Figure

MechWarrior® ? Jupiter BattleMech Articulating Figure

MechWarrior® ? Legionnaire BattleMech Articulating Figure

MechWarrior® ? Mad Cat II BattleMech Articulating Figure

These figures are awesome!! I got the MADCAT II today at my local comic shop, for $19.99!!!!

They look cool, but I can't stand this new dark age tangent they have taken in the BT universe. Just when the Steiner/Davion thing got good they practically threw whatever worked together to close a classic in the making.

i agree.. but one good thing, is Dark Ages is set nearly 150 years after the Steiner/Davion civil war.... so they can still novelize the Word of Blake coup, the fall of the Inner sphere, and the Rise of the Republic...

The first novel just came out, I haven't picked it up yet. Do you read the novels?

You're thinking ED-209... and except for the "bird" design of the legs, i'd say no...
Altho Robocop was 1987... Battletech introduced the Clans in 1995... Battletech itself has been around sice about 1984, and the MadCat design was based on the CATAPULT mech and the MARAUDER..., two early mechs.

ED-209 would make an excellent Mech tho.. i can see it with quad-AC-20s and a pair of SRM-6's.... definitely a close range weapons platform
:D
