Hitler micromanaged his army, stalin took a more hands off approach. It wasn't until the Red army was at the gates of Berlin that the soviets actually outproduced the Nazis in raw material.

USSR lost around 11 million troops and 12 million civilians compared the Axis' 6.5 million total military losses in the ETO. Not to mention the fact that I would say that Stalin "pwned" Russia more than he did Germany.

Also, as much as Hitler was a monster to the people he hated, he at least didn't murder friends and supporters. Stalin murdered anyone who he considered a threat even if they were friends or supporters.

If it wasn't for Stalin Hitler would have lost WW2 much faster. He purged many of his good generals pre-WW2 (as well as other officers) and replaced them with "loyal" (read mostly inept) officers.

Russia did not "pwn" germany. The ONLYONLYONLY reason that Russia was able to defeat Germany was the sheer huge amounts of manpower they could throw against the German grinder. Not to mention the crippling Russian winter, which broke the 6th Army at Stalingrad.

The Soviets took MASSIVE losses along all fronts. There are few battles where the Russians actually lost LESS men then the Germans. The Soviets still won...but at a TERRIBLE cost.

So you are basing the Red Army's "ROXORNESS" on one war? If that's the scale there are several other armies that I would place high above the Soviets.

Lets not forget that although they beat the German eastern front they also managed to loose twice as many men as the Germans. something like 20 million while the Americans only lost 250k. Granted the Americans themselves were never really invaded. But you can see the amount of respect Stalin had for his own people. So I hold very little respect for him.
