While I think JS a smart guy, Trump has said multiple times what made America great in his speeches like jobs with decent wages and low crime/terrorism. When two people didn't have to work to own a house and he's right.

I do agree with JS that we are fighting against something unnatural. When he says unnatural for this many different races/ethnicities to be together and we'd normally be tribal - we need more liberals discussing realtalk like that.

Speaking of JS, isn't he on the list of celebs who said they'd leave the country if Trump won?

Interesting point he made that Ryan and McConnell decried the inability of Washington to get anything done and profited from that when their intransigence was the very reason that nothing got done.

Can you write grammatically correct sentences that don't force the reader to guess your intended message? Both those sentences fail to do that.

I stopped watching his replacement. The magic is gone....
The problem is that Trevor isn't very funny and laughs at his own jokes. All the best options to replace Jon went elsewhere and have much better shows now. Too bad Larry Wilmore's show never quite figured out how to be entertaining. Larry was entertaining as a correspondent, but just fell flat as a host.

I'm honestly not sure if the reality he lives in uses the same language rules as the reality the rest of us do.

Two people DON'T have to work to own a house. But people want (or rather feel they NEED) two new cars, a huge TV with surround sound. Go to Disney once a year. The latest Xbox. The latest shoes. Go out to dinner every other night...

If you avoid some of these things then 1 income can be enough.

It's good to hear he's optimistic and his comments about it being difficult for people to join in a melting pot are correct, but it's necessary. The difficulties some have with people who are aesthetically different or have a different culture is a social construct as much as race is and people crazy enough to believe there are fundamental differences between humans based on appearance. It's like believing a black cat is fundamentally different from an orange one. It's one animal: human, and like most animals they don't all look the same.

We're also going to continue to look more and more alike as time passes. In a few hundred years you won't see many people with blonde hair or blue eyes. The notion that isolating yourself from other people from different areas of the world is going to do you any good is nuts. Particularly in the US where the country's success has been achieved by being a country that is an amalgamation of people from around the world.

I think a lot of Trump supporters who hold those sorts of beliefs are just getting old and amount to the 'crazy uncle'. This is a problem that may very well just be self resolving as they die off and new generations move forward without the same inherent biases.

I think Stewerts best years were ahead of him with a Drumpf administration. He must had drank the Koolaid like so many of us that Hillary had this thing won.

actually he's gotten better post election. TDS wasn't all that good until dubya 1.0 election happened, and then they took off. They had year+ of mediocrity before then.

actually she is really good, but since she's a womyn, you know, one of them uppity, non-kitchen tendin' to womyn, she's no good.
Her segments are just as good as Stewart's were.
Tell me, who's a good, scathing satirist on the right... /crickets indeed.

Has he? I gave up. I could only listen to him laugh at his own weak jokes so many times.

Satire is best done as an absurd version of reality. The right already exists in an absurd version of reality.

Maybe, and just maybe, what he is talking about is closer to reality than what people want to believe?

Oh, you're one of those social construct people. So tell us, why are the majority of athletes in the NFL and NBA black? Give me a break. There are inherent genetic chemical differences in us that are DNA-based, not environment. Hundreds of studies have confirmed this but I'm guessing you are one of those who think everyone is equal at math (studies show males especially Asian and white vs other races and females pick it up easier after puberty) and everyone is physically the same (AA's have been scientifically shown to have higher Test levels and different bone structure which give them an elite physical advantage). I happen to think these differences are what makes America awesome but fear of others unlike our own is inherent in us on a subconscious level (also proven by science). Which is partly why diversity and social cohesion have an inverse relationship and people voluntarily self-segregate. That's why I respect JS bucking the libtard trend of saying everyone is equal and America is so great right now! It's not and racial tensions are not very good right now.

I enjoyed the Craig Kilborn era, personally.
But yeah, didn't care for Noah at first, didn't watch it for most of a year, and I do enjoy his stuff more now.

So did I, but I tuned in to Daily Show with Trevor Noah in the wake of upcoming election, and I was pleasantly surprised. Trevor Noah turned out to be a bright fella. Sure, his delivery is different from Jon Stewart, but he is funny and most importantly he has the insight to cut deep into the issue and deliver good analysis instead of taking cheap pot shots by screaming all Trump supporters are racist and that's the only reason they won. Watch his post election episode: http://www.cc.com/video-clips/9061c...h-how-donald-trump-tapped-into-middle-america

Funnily enough when I googled trying to find the video above one of the few results on the page came up from Blaze with the headline "Trevor Noah: People voted for Donald Trump because they're racist and sexist" which is doing exactly the opposite - taking a soundbite out of context and stretching the truth to deliver a cheap pot shot.
