I'm 20 mins into watching the debate between Stewart and O'Rielly.. Stewart does not understand the difference between the Debt and the Deficit.

I hope O'rielly tells him that he's changed his mind on cutting spending for public television because Stewart needs educational tv.

Since the debate is a commercial project and clearly illegally uploaded to YouTube, I'm going to have to pull the YouTube link as a violation of our piracy policy

Which is why no one should take Stewart's politics or political knowledge seriously.

(This doesn't mean I believe that everyone should take O'Rileys politics seriously, either)

Stewart did screw that part up, but overall made the better points IMO. It was a good debate and entertaining too. Stewart and O'Reilly actually work well with each other.

I don't get the hate for Romney. He was a great business man, he never made the rules with asia, clinton did that. He also did the Olympics and on budget I believe. When he was governor all the taxes were properly funded and his state was a success.

I think he would do the same as president while Obama gave the TSA unbelievable powers, made indefinite detention without charges legal, kills 49 civilians for every combatant with uavs and even argued to keep bush tax cuts two years ago.

What frightens me is that many(especially young people), get most of their politican "news" from comedians.

Some of his points were absolutely retarded, like pointing out the words "union" and "welfare" being some of the first lines of the constitution.

What should be even more frightening is that comedians seem to be more informative than reporters when it comes to politics. We truly have gotten to the point where the only ones you can trust to at least be somewhat honest are the court jesters.

Or they give that impression. Like I said to start this thread, Jon Stewart did not know the difference between the debt and the deficit even after Orielly asked him repeatedly. It was cringe worry.

Stewart even argued they were the same thing saying, Clinton had a surplus so we had no debt. He believes that the entire 16 trillion dollar dept happened since Bush took office.

And he was NOT trolling O'rielly, like i said, it was cringe worthy. In fact Stewart looked very uncomfortable the whole show, I kept thinking Colbert would be doing much better.

And O'Reilly thinks 90 Billion is orders of magnitude smaller than 130 million. So who's the idiot again?

I don't recall O'rielly saying that, I do recall Stewart highlighting over and over again, that 130 million is nothing compared to... the war, the subsidies etc which is true ofcourse and I recall O'rielly saying that 130 million to big bird is...wait for it... wait for it... "SYSTEMATIC" of the problem.

Do you know what that means? Stewart doesn't.

Romney said' "We shouldn't be borrowing money to fund public TV". So Jon Stewart says, "Romney thinks the problem is a measly 130 million to PBS and has no concept of larger picture of over spending". So Stewart is either an idiot or being very indigenous on this matter.
