it makes sense because it shuts up the religious nuts who are fighting tooth and nails to not allow same-sex marriage. There has been such a blur of what marriage is that I think it would be better if it happened. It makes more logical sense.

But for practicality sense, we just have to wait it out while people adjust to marriage including same-sex marriage... which is also rewriting the definition (just, easier).
